LG Product Recall – LG Voluntarily Recalls Microwaves for Safety Reasons

Due to a potential electrical safety issue, LG Electronics is voluntarily recalling the below microwave ovens as detailed within the below correspondence. LG Electronics Australia has identified a potential fault with a cooling duct cover inside the Products. In certain circumstances, this fault could pose a risk of electric shock to the user.

VOLUNTARY PRODUCT SAFETY RECALL – MICROWAVE OVEN – LG PRODUCT RECALL
Dear Customer,
Model Numbers: MS-2346VR and MS2347GR, Serial numbers 708 through 802.
Due to potential electrical safety issue, LG Electronics is voluntarily recalling the above microwave ovens. LG Electronics has identified a potential fault with a cooling duct cover inside the Products. In certain circumstances, this fault could pose a risk of electric shock to the user.
What do you need to do?
If your unit is within the serial number range, you should immediately cease use of the unit and contact the LG Electronics Recall Hotline (number below) to arrange for inspection and repair of your unit, at no charge, If you cannot find the serial number of your unit, or are unsure if your serial number is within the affected range, please contact the Recall Hotline for further information.
