Humour Ovens & Cooking

Happy (1)

It’s that time of the year again, where little goblins roam the streets in search of sweets and tricks or treats, or how about them ghostly ghouls that bob for apples in those pools, but perhaps a little princess may want to show, instead of the things from the rocky horror show.

Ahh yes, Halloween, my favourite time of the year! And as the Appliances Online head office prepare for our annual staff Halloween party, I too am doing my own prep for the day that is All Hallows’eve (que evil laugh)

Let’s play Dress Up

In my household, putting up Halloween decorations is just as exciting as putting up the Christmas tree! And let’s not get started on how giddy we get when it comes to choosing what we want to dress up as on the actual day, OK I give in, let’s talk about.

Over the years I’ve been a princess,

a little red devil with pitch fork and all, a tiger, a sailor, a zombie, I even went to a Halloween party dressed as a my grandmother one year, but these having nothing on creativity compared to what my little brother and sister (aka, Mothers help) have come up with over the years.

‘The Grim Reaper ‘& ‘half scream half mad butcher ‘(He couldn’t decide what he would have rather been that year)

And how about the year they went Trick or Treating as ‘Cereal Killers’

They begged me to put them on this blog, so they would hopefully be viral sensations (kids these days) and inspire others to ‘think outside the box’ when it comes to Halloween costumes this year.

All the way from the land of the flightless bird, Krissy brings a part of New Zealand culture to the Appliances Online content team. And although she is adamant she does not say 'fush and chups', she can't deny her continuous use of the term 'sweet as' and her ongoing argument with her team on the correct name for jandals (thongs). One thing is for certain, however, her passion for her kiwi slang is matched with her love for sharing news, hacks and buying tips for all things appliances! Krissy's favourite appliance is the Tefal Cook4Me multi cooker, as she believes it's ok to let an appliance do all the work for you.
