Food Preparation Microwaves Ovens & Cooking Recipes

Whether you’re preparing to set a personal best like your favourite athletes or simply enjoy being a couch potato in front of the TV, breakfast forms an essential part of anyone’s day.

And while some dedicated Australians refuse to stray from their cereal of choice, there are plenty of options available for anyone after a little change to their morning routine.

Something quick

There are days when we can leisurely float around the kitchen while we prepare our first meal and there are other times when we question whether or not breakfast is even an option.

In the instances where the minutes are precious, it might be time to rely on some of your kitchen appliances for some assistance. Eggs can be scrambled with a little milk in the microwave for two minutes, while some toasters can sound an alert when your breakfast is ready.

Juicers may also come in handy for whipping up a quick and nutritious drink to take with you on the road.

Something sweet

Those of us with a sweet tooth will welcome the chance to combat sugar cravings from the moment we wake up.

While a scoop of ice-cream isn’t going to leave you feeling full for very long, some other options might include ricotta hotcakes topped with maple syrup and seasonal fruit, French toast sprinkled with cinnamon sugar or some sweet coconut granola.

Something totally left field

Why not go ahead and break some of the traditional breakfast rules?

All around the world, breakfast eaters enjoy delicacies including baked potato, fish, soup or noodles. If you’re feeling a little exotic, you might fancy getting your day started with some Scottish haggis or kimchi from Korea.

All the way from the land of the flightless bird, Krissy brings a part of New Zealand culture to the Appliances Online content team. And although she is adamant she does not say 'fush and chups', she can't deny her continuous use of the term 'sweet as' and her ongoing argument with her team on the correct name for jandals (thongs). One thing is for certain, however, her passion for her kiwi slang is matched with her love for sharing news, hacks and buying tips for all things appliances! Krissy's favourite appliance is the Tefal Cook4Me multi cooker, as she believes it's ok to let an appliance do all the work for you.
