Fridges & Freezers

Back in the good old days, appliances were made to last.

Like this General Electric fridge which has been running continually without maintenance since it was purchased in 1952 – that’s more than 58 years!

Nowadays GE is still making fridges, and they’re even better than ever.

Today Mark from GE came in to show us the latest range of GE side by side fridges. They have a lot of awesome features including:

304 grade stainless steel doors

Not only do they look great, they’re also rust resistant.

Lexan crisper bins

Lexan is a type of strong plastic that was invented by GE and used to create the ‘bubble helmets’ that were worn by the Apollo moon astronauts. Long story short: it’s tough!

Door hinges tested 1 million times

GE fridge doors are tested 1 million times to ensure they won’t warp or break.

Custom cool drawer

Available in selected models, the custom cool drawer will chill cans or bottles in a matter of minutes, and safely thaw frozen meat in far less time than it would take in an ordinary fridge. It also allows you to set a temperature that is ideal for meat, fruit and vegetables.

Never-clean condenser coils

One of the reasons why GE fridges last so long is because the condenser coils are encased and thus do not collect dust like other brands. Dust build-up on the condenser coils is one of the most common causes of fridge failure.

Climate keeper cooling technology

Not one but 3 temperature sensors ensures that a consistent temperature is maintained at all times in all areas of the fridge. This gives you fresher, better tasting food.

Frost-guard technology

In essence, frost-guard technology eliminates freezer burn to extend the life of your frozen food.

Additionally, GE fridges are made from 80% recyclable materials and they have good energy efficiency ratings, so you can be sure you’re making an eco-friendly choice.

So invest in a GE fridge, and you could be enjoying deliciously fresh food in 2070 and beyond!
