Environment, Energy & Water Saving Hot Water Systems Kitchen Sinks Sinks, Taps & Water Taps

Okay, let’s talk about taps. Not the most inspiring subject, you may say. Terrific source of H2O of course, but not exactly something to gush over.

Well, that’s where we want to turn you on to Billi – and their instant filtered water taps. Industry-leaders for over 20 years, they bring new standards of style, convenience and safety to this essential kitchen appliance.

Who – or what – is Billi?

An Australian owned company specialising in filtered water systems and sensor tap technology.

Established in the early 1990s, Billi revolutionised the market with their uniquely compact, hidden under-bench water systems. Since then, their range has continued to deliver the highest flow-rates available, with the smallest commercial unit footprint and lowest running costs on the market.

Easy to install

Requiring so little space to be installed, they’ll fit into kitchens that are tight on room. For example, the B5000 unit is only 18cm wide, 34cm high and 50cm deep.

Aside from that, all you need is a 10 amp power point, a water supply and sink drain connection. And since so little heat is generated by these systems, no cupboard venting is required.

Save water and power

You’ll be saving on bills and helping the environment with eco-friendly technologies, such as high-quality insulation that holds water temperature and conserves energy.

And with the instant heat-ups of their boiling water taps, the use of water needed in the slower heat-ups of other hot water systems is cut.

Innovative features

Since their inception, Billi has led the way with innovation and their range is defined by a number of stand-out features. Here are a few:

  • Safety switch: All Billi taps which dispense boiling water have a childproof safety function, activated by the safety button at the back of the tap.
  • Splash free technology: Initial flow of water is momentarily slowed before resuming full speed – thus preventing scalding or burns.
  • Easy filter change: A simple DIY job, just take off the cover, press the release button and wait five seconds to disengage the old filter and put in a new one.
  • Swivel tap: Able to be turned 45 degrees in both directions, allowing full use of the sink and letting you fills pots on the bench-top.

Check out our series of Billi how-to videos demonstrating these awesome features. Needless to say, I’d tap that! … uh, I’ll get my coat.
