The Ins and Outs of Appliance Distribution

Did you know some big brands for appliances help derive and create a family of other common brands? It’s like a big brand family umbrella.

As the big companies expand and become commonly known for their manufacturing of trusted products, they begin to sell under a wide variety of brand names. Some are sold specifically to a single country or a geographic area.

This means that since a smaller number of distributors control groups of these brands we as consumers can be more trusting in the products we buy. Instead of searching for the best appliance, why they are the best, and why they are trusted, knowing that a certain brand is a part of the same family as well recognised brand, the whole process is a lot easier and you know what you’re getting.

An example of this is the Electrolux brand. They have a range of other strong brands for consumers and in fact offer brand licensing opportunities. Some brands that are carried by Electrolux are: Ches, Eureka, Simpson and Volta; just to name a few.

We spoke to David Hodgson one of our top notch customer service team members and he told us that, “in fact a lot of customer’s don’t realise some brands are joined with one of the big guys. I find they have a lot of faith in a brand once they hear that.” And it’s only natural. Humans go by what they know and what they like.

But imagine if a product or a brand that is a part of a major brand becomes a disaster and does not meet the requirments that are commonly known. This would place a burden on the family and compromise the reputation of all brands linked to one another. It’s like an umbrella; they all sit under the big family umbrella of appliances. Some could say given that their reputation is dependent upon a family brand, it is less likely for disappointment.

So, is the world getting smaller or is it just us?

It’s seems like everything will eventually find its way under a family umbrella. Globalisation seems like it is becoming the way of the future. This movement of people, goods, capital and ideas increases economic integration, and eventually trade and investment. We are living without borders where there is no limit.

Here at Appliances Online we celebrate globalisation; if it wasn’t for globalisation we wouldn’t share and accomplish the ideas and requirements of our customers. Even Facebook brings up all together, to unite us and become globalised.
