You may have already heard of the most popular services; Netflix, Stan, Presto, Foxtel Play and Quickflix. Now that we have a wide range of movie and TV streaming services to select from, the hardest part is deciding on what service you will subscribe to.

I can assure you that you will NOT get ALL of your favourite movies and TV shows on one service. Some have a great selection of latest TV shows but a poor selection of  the latest movies; others have an abundance of kids shows and a shocking selection for teens and adults; and of course the most important factor that comes into play when choosing a streaming service to join is the price.

It is very important to do some research around the services you are thinking of subscribing to because some cost more than others; others have more content than some; and some have limits on how many devices you can stream to. Also some services have made deals with ISPs (Internet Service Providers) offering unmetered data usage, as some of these services chew up your data extremely fast, especially if you are streaming 4K and Full HD content. For example, Presto has deals with Telstra Bigpond and Foxtel broadband, this means that any date used on the Presto platform is not deducted from your monthly data allowance.

At the moment, most of the popular movie and TV streaming services are offering free trials periods range, ranging from 2 weeks to 30 days. We recommend that you take advantage of these trial periods and try out a few different services before you lock yourself into a month-to-month contract. Don’t forget that you can cancel at any time and you are not locked in for a 6, 12 or even 24 month contract.

We have gathered as much information as possible for Stan, Presto, Netflix, Quickflix and Foxtel Play to show you what each service has on offer, and to help you find the ideal movie and TV streaming service to keep you up to date on all your favourite movies and TV shows:
