With Father’s Day just a couple of days away, Appliances Online is here to help work out the best present to buy to show Dad you love him.

He deserves more than just another pair of socks or a generic gift voucher, so we’ve researched some different kinds of Dads

Whether your Dad enjoys being outdoors or prefers to sit on the couch and watch some footy, chooses juice over coffee or likes to whip up a gourmet meal for dinner, there is an appliance to suit every type of man this Father’s Day.

For health-conscious Dads, cooking can sometimes be a challenge – preparing delicious meals that are low in fat takes preparation and creativity, while the temptation to grab some dinner from your nearest fast food outlet never seems to go away.

An electric barbeque might be just the thing to help Dad get organised at dinner time, and the Sunbeam ReversGrill offers two cooking surfaces in one.

The ribbed plate is perfect for grilling meat and vegetables with minimum oil, while the flat plate makes light work of omelettes.

If your Dad is finding it hard to give up his hot chips while also trying to stick to a diet, a deep fryer may be a bad idea for a present – unless it uses air instead of oil!

Both the Philips Viva AirFryer and the Tefal Actifry help to cook potato fries and other snack foods with less fat than traditional frying options.

Each unit features a dishwasher-safe bowl for easy cleaning, as well as a recipe book for inspiration.

But being healthy doesn’t have to be just about food – Dad might also like to keep his beverages nice and nutricious too.

One of the easiest ways to do this is to invest in a juicer, and the Philips QuickClean HR1871 Juicer is quick and easy to use, clean and store. Not only can the 800 watt motor make up to 2.5 litres of juice in one go, but it also includes an extra-large feeding tube – meaning that Dad won’t have to pre-cut any fruit or vegetables.

All the way from the land of the flightless bird, Krissy brings a part of New Zealand culture to the Appliances Online content team. And although she is adamant she does not say 'fush and chups', she can't deny her continuous use of the term 'sweet as' and her ongoing argument with her team on the correct name for jandals (thongs). One thing is for certain, however, her passion for her kiwi slang is matched with her love for sharing news, hacks and buying tips for all things appliances! Krissy's favourite appliance is the Tefal Cook4Me multi cooker, as she believes it's ok to let an appliance do all the work for you.
