World Retail Awards 2015- We’re finalists, again!

We have some exciting news to share with you! Appliances Online has been shortlisted as a finalist for the e-Commerce Retailer of the Year Category of the World Retail Awards 2015, and boy are we thrilled!

We’re also please to announce our founder (and CEO of the Winning Group) John Winning is a finalist for the Young Retail Entrepreneur of the year award– Congratulations, John!

At just 21 years of age, John founded his first online business, Appliances Online with laptop, rented truck and 1300 number diverted to his mobile. Expansion has occurred at every level of the business and nine years on Appliances Online is arguably one of Australia’s most successful online retailers. – World Retail Congress

Throughout the years, Appliances Online has won various awards, including the Customer Experience of the Year award at the 2014 World Retail Awards.

Others include-

Best Customer Experience (2010 and 2011 Online Retail Industry Awards)
Best Site Design and optimisation (2011 Online Retail Industry Awards)
Best Pureplay Online Retailer (2010 Online Retail Industry Awards)

Mr Winning also expresses how these awards signify the hard work and dedication his team has applied to the business throughout the years.

John also says in a statement- “It’s also great to see Australian retailers representing our nation at the awards. For years, Australian online retailers have lagged behind our international counterparts however Australia’s presence at this year’s awards highlights just how far we have come as an industry and I’m proud that Appliances Online is helping lead the way.”

The World Retail Awards celebrate excellence across the retail industry, and will held on September 10 in Rome, Italy. Good Luck to the team, and all the finalists this year.

Krissy Davis

All the way from the land of the flightless bird, Krissy brings a part of New Zealand culture to the Appliances Online content team. And although she is adamant she does not say 'fush and chups', she can't deny her continuous use of the term 'sweet as' and her ongoing argument with her team on the correct name for jandals (thongs). One thing is for certain, however, her passion for her kiwi slang is matched with her love for sharing news, hacks and buying tips for all things appliances! Krissy's favourite appliance is the Tefal Cook4Me multi cooker, as she believes it's ok to let an appliance do all the work for you.

Absolutely thrilled with the front load washer I bought from you last year – Thanks.

Just love the ‘blimp’ and it is so spectacular at night. Have been telling all my friends about it and hope it translates into $$$$$$$$ for you. Congratulations John and Good Luck.
