If a cook is only as good as their appliances then My Kitchen Rules’ South Australian champions Leigh and Jennifer owe a special thanks to Sunbeam.

The show has been a hit drawing an audience of 2.7 million in its last week and Channel 7 along with the programme’s sponsors are tickled pink.

Sunbeam, the small appliance sponsor, said it’s appliances were put to the test alongside competitors and had extensive use throughout the show.

“Series three of My Kitchen Rules has set the standard for reality cooking shows this year due to its consistently high ratings and our partnership with the show has been an important part of our marketing strategy,”  Nicole Cowley, Marketing Manager, Sunbeam Corporation said.

“This year, Sunbeam products were much more than the exclusive appliance provider – the appliances were more like third team members, helping each couple create world-class dishes at every challenge.

Series three highlighted Sunbeam’s great range of products as well as their diversity and ease of use.”

One appliance to feature prominently was Sunbeam’s Cafe Series blender. The versatility of this appliance was demonstrated as it helped to prepare a range of meals including soups, dips, purees and drinks.

The Sunbeam Mixmaster was used to prepare the ‘Chocolate Raspberry Pop Delight’ dessert, and the Deep Fryer to prepare ‘Scallops in XO Sauce’.

“Our association with My Kitchen Rules takes Sunbeam products into the homes of consumers, demonstrating the appliances in action,” Cowely said.

Sunbeam has sponsored two of the three cooking show series.
