Dyson cleans up in latest Canstar Blue satisfaction survey
June 10th, 2015
Pioneering cyclonic vacuum brand Dyson has top scored in the latest satisfaction survey conducted by Canstar Blue.
The English manufacturer recorded five stars across four rating categories, including ease of use, effectiveness of clean, and size.
A statement from Canstar said Dyson was “some way ahead” of the other brands they rated, which included Miele, Electrolux, Vax and Volta.
It added: “With 46% of the Australians we surveyed having more than one vacuum cleaner in their home, it seems the vacuum is an essential appliance for thousands of families.
“Dyson’s vacuums were considered the most effective, perhaps unsurprisingly given the company prides itself on technological innovation.”
More than 1,200 people were included in the survey, which targeted customers who had purchased a new vacuum cleaner within the past three years.
Despite only scoring three stars in the overall satisfaction rating, Vax was the only brand to score five stars in the value for money category.
The statement from Canstar said: “Nearly half of our respondents told us that one of the most important factors when buying a vacuum was the price, and value for money is certainly a big consideration when buying a product which most people keep for over six years.”
It added “impressive results” were noted when analysing the noise of the vacuum cleaner, with Dyson, Miele and Shark all scoring the maximum five stars for satisfaction, whilst Electrolux and Vax achieved four stars each.
