At last, the iPhone makes coffee

A caffeine boost at the touch of a button? Hit me!
Produced by Scanomat in Europe, the Top Brewer may be one of the classiest coffee machines you’ve ever seen, or more to the point, that you don’t see: all the grinding and brewing machinery is kept under the counter and out of sight. Only a stainless steel tap protrudes from the bench.
Top Brewer has good looks and charm. A software application allows communication via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to order a freshly ground cup of joe using an iPhone or iPad. Users can select from the available drinks – or have their own favorite coffee pre-programmed and dispensed.
Drinks? That’s because the Top Brewer can also dispense juice, cold water, hot chocolate and steam for blanching vegetables!
No iPhone? No worries, a finger touch keyboard that is built into the tabletop will also do the trick.
What else does the Top Brewer pack? Only the world’s smallest milk frother. It’s installed at the tip of the tap dispenser where fresh milk is heated on demand and foamed to the correct texture. Also, with two grinders it takes 15 seconds to brew filter coffee or pour an espresso in 25 seconds flat.
Magical and exquisite, that’s what Scanomart says of the Top Brewer. Scanomat has been shipping its coffee machines to a few parts of the world, including the United States, although not Australia…yet.
