Purchased this to replace a pvr purchased from eBay many years ago. The Panasonic machine has very good tuners it has actually slightly boosted the reception on my TV set. Being a non Freeview branded set I can skip through the adds which is a must have for me. The only fault is with the remote control button layout which could be more logically placed, this is not a major problem. The machine is in a large cabinet which means it runs cool with no overheating problems I had with my last pvr. The internet feature works great I use it with a Telstra Mobile Netgear 4G Hotspot , it streams movies with no problems. As with most Panasonic products the menu is easy to follow , and yes it records with no problems.

I purchased this item (as did a friend also who initially knew nothing about what was involved to use a recorder) some months ago. It is reasonably easy to operate once you master the basics and quite reliable. However, you must make certain that you extend the recording time for a show to allow for frequent overruns as the recording cuts off for the time allowed and does not remain recording while the actual show is on. With the poor quality shows now on TV, I believe a recorder is absolutely essential in order to try to obtain something worth looking at. This is especially so in that you can record two shows at once at all hours of the day and night. However, you can only record one show while watching a different channel.
