Franke Artemis Group is the umbrella under which all the Sinks groups fall. The industrial activities begin with the Franke Kitchen Systems Group and the Franke Commercial Systems Group. The Kitchen Systems Group is the world-leading provider of kitchen systems and offers sinks, extractor hoods, fittings, hobs and ovens. Hermann Franke founded the company as a sheet metal business in Rorschach, Switzerland, in 1911. It wasn't until the 1930's that the company switched product lines and began developing sinks in nikeline and monel-metal and later in stainless steel. Their rapid expansion during the 1950's meant that by1974 the company had 6,200 employees. Today, the Franke Artemis Group employs around 10,500 staff worldwide and is established in over 40 countries, with about 70 subsidiaries in Europe, South and North America, Africa, Australia and Asia.
