Fisher Paykel Appliances have been developing products and creating foundations
for markets for over 70 years. Founded in 1934 by Maurice Paykel & Sir Woolf
Fisher, the company has grown from humble beginnings to become one of New Zealand’s
most enduring and successful businesses. Today the company manufacturers refrigerators,
freezers, autowashers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens and cooktops at plants in New
Zealand and Australia and more recently the USA. F&P’s products are sold in
over 40 countries and they have offices in Australia, USA, Singapore, Taiwan and
the UK with head office still in New Zealand.
Fisher Paykel are known as the innovators and for good reason. They invented the
extremely popular Dish Drawer dishwasher and Smart Drive for their washers and dryers.
Fisher Paykel are the first manufacturer to have a 4-star water efficient top load
washer and produce good quality fridges and dryers. Fisher Paykel were the original
manufacturers of a single top/bottom mount fridge with water dispenser highlighting
their claim to be the Innovators.
Fisher & Paykel’s unique characteristics include creating innovative products
with good quality finishes, and are an Australian house hold name.
