Review for:
Dimplex Dehumidifier GDH-DEH20EP
Absolutely does what it says and I am surprised by just how much moisture is removed from the air. Can heat up the room while removing moisture, so good in cooler weather but can get hot in summer. Ron

Dimplex 3kW Portable Reverse Cycle Air Conditioner in Black GDC10RCWB
I did have a problem with water leaking from the unit, I emailed and got a call the next day and advised what to do which I did and seems to have fixed the problem. I was told if that did not fix the problem to call back and they would rectify the problem straight away with either repair or replacement, what more could I ask! Thank you!! Debra

Review for:
Dimplex Dehumidifier GDH-DEH30E
This dehumidifier seems to do a really good job in a large windowless basement with an area measuring about 4 metres by 8 metres. The controls aren't as straightforward as the Delonghi models but I chose this one because it had a larger capacity (from memory) and it had a bigger discount so I figured that it had to be better than the others. It was around the upper end of the range that was available on this website. I'm very pleased with my choice although I'm not able to make a comparison with other dehumidifiers as this is the fist time I've used one. I would definitely recommend it and in fact have been doing so. The smell of mildew has also been definitely eliminated from this space. Hope that helps!! Stavroula

Review for:
Dimplex 3.5kW Portable Air Conditioner in White GDC12RWA
Don't like the unit. Doesn't get cold easily, 17degree is still not cold and would suddenly turn off and even on at times. Also at times would suddenly switch to dehumidify w/ no apparent reason at all. Waste of money should've get another unit. April

Review for:
Dimplex Dehumidifier GDH-DEH30E
I think it's a great service for busy people who pretty much know what it is they want to get. The Dimplex dehumidifier is a really good product too. I was looking for a dehumidifier a while ago and couldn't really find anything in Australia. When I did another google search just recently, (after all the rain we've been getting) I was pleasantly surprised to find a really good range at Appliances Online. I was also impressed with the phone service back up. I would definitely use them again!! Stavroula

Q how many BTUs? we are looking to cool a room that is approximately 60 sq meters. I believe we need around 10,000

A
3KW is around 10,000BTU, just to keep in mind that a portable air
conditioner will not cool the room like a fixed air conditioner can. It
would, for example, cool the room down on a hot day if it were 40
degrees to approximately 30.

Q Does this require any sort of hose, exhaust or the like?
Question for:
Dimplex 3kW Portable Reverse Cycle Air Conditioner in Black GDC10RCWB
Asked by
Kane
(20/11/2011 2:34:39 PM)
A Yes, you will need to have the exhaust hose venting out the window for it to effectively work. If you have the machine not being exhausted you will just be pumping the hot air back into the room, essentially severely effecting the unit's effectiveness.

Q Hi, what are the main differences between the inverter of this model and the Dimplex 4.4kw reverse cycle? I know the reverse cycle means that it can be warm or cool but how does the "inverter" affect the product and the room? Is it quieter?

A I have been speaking to Dimplex and they have given me this information on Inverter Air Conditioners: they are 30% more efficient than ordinary air conditioners (saving on power and energy); they reach the desired temperature 4 times faster; they cool, heat, dehumidify and clean the air; once temperature is reached it will maintain a constant temperature; they can cool in temperatures up to 43 dgrees; the filtration system is good for asthma sufferers; it cleans bacteria from the air; they are not noisier than ordinary air conditioners.
