Things you WANT to know about Sunbeam’s GC7850B Sandwich Press & Contact Grill
July 31st, 2015
The Product
There are tons of different contact grills available on the market at the moment, and we absolutely love it!
But to give you the most accurate and honest feedback, I will be focusing on the Sunbeam GC7850B sandwich press & contact grill today, as I personally have one in my kitchen at home, which I use day in and day out.
The Hard Facts
Let’s have a chat about the amazing features and functions the GC7850B has to offer, and you’ll soon see why I absolutely love my sandwich press and contact grill:
Two-sided grilling & compact design
There is a device, which locks the plates firmly together for compact storage. This feature is also handy for fast 2 sided grilling, making it the perfect cooking appliance for toasted sammies! Because who doesn’t like a good toasted sandwich?
Easy operation
To change between the sandwich press and contact grill, all you need to do is twist the RotoDial™, which is extremely simple.
Just like a mini portable BBQ
The top plate is ribbed to achieve grill marks and perfectly sear meats, while the flat bottom plate is perfect for sandwiches, various skewered food, and vegetables. Anything you cook on a BBQ, you can cook on the GC7850B!
Healthier cooking and grilling
The slopped design ensure fats and other oils run down the hot plate whilst cooking. And to make clean-up easy, all that fatty grossness drips straight down into a removable drip tray. Genius!
Teflon® Platinum Premium™
The non-stick surface of both plates means you can grill and cook without the having to worry about food sticking to the surfaces. This feature is particularly handy when cleaning up.
If the awesome features above don’t get you excited, then maybe the fact you can cook virtually anything on it will! From salmon steaks to scrambled eggs, yes, even scrambled eggs*, the Sunbeam GC7850B sandwich press & contact grill can grill it all.
*You may need to do a bit of tweaking due to sloped plates, but I can tell you, it’s definitely possible!
The Verdict
I love, love, LOVE my Sunbeam contact grill!
And no, I was no sponsored by them to say that, or even sponsored by them to talk about it. This is just the honest truth on how I feel about them.
It heats up rather quickly, is super simple to operate (Just plug it in, and use the RotoDial™ to change to the preferred settings, and then start cooking) is small enough to use in even in the smallest of kitchens, yet big enough to grill and cook large meals, and the best part, you can grill virtually anything on it! Seriously, what is there not to love about it?
I could rave about the GC7850B all day, but I’ll spare you the long read. But before I go, I’ll leave you with a few hand picked, mouth-watering recipes that will sure to get you excited.
