I am disappointed the 1000rpm spin speed only applies to the longer wash cycles, other than that I am pleased with the washing machine, it washes well. KarenPeakhurst, NSW

I only gave it a rating "good" because it doesnt have a short cycle with a high spin rate which is what i need for my business, but that was my problem for not reading the information correctly. so now i wash all the towels for 59 mins as it allows me to spin all the water out of them before I place into the dryer. Delivery extremely unreliable - I took time off work to wait for a delivery on the day they said they'd deliver, and had to keep ringing up to find out what was going on - at no time did they call me like they promised they would, and then they didn't even turn up at all! "The delivery guy hurt his back, we'll deliver it tomorrow instead" (which I only found out about by calling up after the timeframe they'd given me had expired). When I then rang up the office to find out what was really going on, I was told I could specify a timeframe for when I wanted the items delivered tomorrow. "But your website specifically says that I can't request a particular timeframe" "Well, we can leave the driver a note." Guess what? The driver ignored the "note" and came first thing in the morning, giving me half an hour's notice. Fortunately I happened to be travelling to the property at the time, and was able to finally receive the items. Nevertheless, the whole thing felt badly organized. I understand that problems can sometimes occur, but they weren't able to deal with them in a satisfactory manner (telling me one thing, doing another, etc.). I can't afford to sit around at home for days waiting for deliveries. It's just not good enough. This was my first order from Appliances Online. I was so impressed with the product knowledge when I spoke to (oops his name escapes me), but he is there most of the time. Also that I could pay COD & no charge for delivery was a sealer. 1st time on line purchase & very unsure about paying online with card etc. so that is why COD was so great. I will not pass card info online. Process was explained to me fully from ordering to delivery etc. It went as smooth as it could go. Everything that was said was going to happen did. Delivery was on time, (and free) I was not tied down for a whole day waiting. Installers were polite, efficient & clearly were following their processes correctly. I was very impressed with the service and delivery from appliances on line when I ordered a small item first. Due to this, I again ordered from Appliances on-line and bought the washing machine. Unfortunately the machine was found to be faulty upon installation on the Friday. The unit was removed and replaced with a good working one on the Monday. It was disappointing but I must add that the gentleman delivering and handling the installation on the Friday was superb in his customer service and arranging a new delivery. The delivery on Monday took place timeously and the unit was installed successfully. Again another delivery and installation person and I was again impressed with his customer service, installation and detailed instruction on the use of the machine. A washing machine dying on you can be a catastrophe, but with Appliances Online it was simple. The Appliances Online website is so easy to use, it's amazing. It took just a few minutes for me to find what I wanted, order it and continue with my normal daily routine. No running around shops comparing prices or haggling with salesmen. A There is a service hatch on the bottom right corner: if you lift the flap there is a lid similar to a petrol cap. Follow the link below to the Bosch website.
When you need to clear the lint filter: make sure that the machine is completely empty of water; put a towel on the ground; lift the hatch and unscrew the cap (some water will come out); reach inside and remove any lint and coins.
Q Does this appliance heat the cold water coming in from this single cold inlet when selecting a warm/hot wash cycle?

A This appliance is like the majority of front loaders on the market with a cold water inlet only which heats the water to desired wash cycle temperature.
A The WAE24272AU is a slight upgrade as it has a faster spin speed of 1200RPM, which then uses more power and the cycles are finished sooner. Other than that, these models are the same in regards to specifications and functions.
A I have no exact figures on how long the heating element should last on
the particular product. However, I feel it should last as long as the
appliance itself if the appliance is well maintained. Unfortunately we
do not sell spare parts, or deal in aftersales service, so
unfortunately I am unable to provide you with a price on the element.
What I would suggest doing is contact Bosch directly and go through
their spare parts department. If you quote the model number you were
looking at, they should be able to provide you with the price on the
part. They are open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday on 1300 368 339.
