Product review of the Sennheiser MM550-XTRAVEL noise cancelling headphones with bluetooth – Fabulous for the frequent flyer

The Sennheiser MM 550-X stereo bluetooth noise-cancelling headset is a premium headphone. It caters to the audio buff and frequent air traveler who is looking for convenience of wireless headphones which can connect to almost any bluetooth enabled device. If bluetooth is not an option you also have the ability to listen to your favourite tunes via the wired connection.
The sound quality on the MM 550-X is awesome and well worth the price, especially when you take into consideration all the extra features.
Features such as NoiseGuard 2.0 (noise-cancelling), wireless control of music and calls, SRS surround sound, exchangeable rechargeable battery and a built-in microphone really set these headphones apart.
Build quality and accessories
The build quality is fantastic. They are extremely lightweight at just 179 grams, there are foldable cups for compact storage, and the over-the-ear design combines soft, extra large ear pads to provide extreme comfort for long periods of time.
Sennheiser also supplies you with a wide range of accessories to ensure you can charge and use the headphones anywhere.
The headphones themselves come with a built-in rechargeable battery, which only takes three hours for a full charge. There is also a USB charge cable and a wall charger with four major adaptors that are suitable for Australia, America, Europe and the United Kingdom.
A stereo audio cable is supplied for wired mode use (2.5mm to 3.5mm), plus a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adaptor for those of you who need it.
Sennheiser have also thought about the frequent flyer by supplying an in-flight double mono jack. All of these attachments fit neatly into a black cloth zippered carry case.
Every detail means the MM 550-X headphones are compact and comfortable with high performance for the music fan on the move.
