Bolt proves he’s the best
August 6th, 2012
Plenty of sports fans around the country tuned in early this morning to see one of the world’s greatest athletes set a new record.
Usain Bolt confirmed his title as the fastest man in the world, posting the quickest 100 metre time in history.
Bolt raced home in just 9.63 seconds, easily beating training partner Yohan Blake and American Justin Gatlin by more than 0.12 seconds.
After the race, the 25-year-old Jamaican said that he wasn’t concerned about anyone doubting his ability ahead of the final.
“I’ve said it from the start, people can talk, all they can do is talk,” he told reporters today (August 6).
“I tell you people that when it comes to the championships it’s all about business to me and I brought it.”
The record-breaking time might be too fast for the average Australian to consider attempting, but it may provide the opportunity to set some new records around the home – with the help of some appliances of course!
A juicer might be able to help you enjoy breakfast and get out the door in a personal best time, or perhaps a steam mop may help you achieve cleaner floors worthy of a gold medal.
