Happy Birthday Handy Crew!

It’s hard to believe 12 months has flown by and Handy crew is celebrating its first year as part of the Winning Group.

Despite a few extra grey hairs and worry lines, general manager of Handy Crew Cameron Wotton is ecstatic about the growth of the company he overlooks.

Below is an interview with Cam detailing the highlights from the year.

Congratulations on celebrating one year – what have been the highlights?

The business growth – a year ago we had seven people and we now have 23 staff. We were just in NSW but we are now a national company. The growth has been challenging but also exciting.

The customer service we are providing is also a highlight.

What’s been your most memorable customer experience?

There’s only about 300 a week!

One that stands out was a Sub Zero customer where we installed four Sub Zero fridges, a Wolf oven and a Rangehood which required four tradesman and three days work … it was a crazy experience but the result was awesome.

What sets Handy Crew apart from other installation businesses?

Absolutely, our customer service. In terms of cleanliness, and end-to-end installation. Plus our guys go the extra mile in every case … for example if we’re installing a kitchen appliance and we notice the customer has a leaky tap, then our guys will fix it – even though it’s not the job they were hired to do, impressing every customer and doing something that’s not expected is what sets us apart.

What trades do you currently have working for you?

Electricians, plumbers, carpenters, cabinet makers, refrigeration mechanics and specialised installers.

Plan for the next 12 months?

Better customer service and more business growth – our goal is to double the amount of business we are currently achieving in the next 12 months, so 100 per cent growth year-on-year.

The company also celebrated with a new website which is already driving more work to Handy crew.
