What is the Evolution KitAn evolution is coming. Now we’re not saying it’s bigger evolutionary news than the day our ancestors first climbed outta the trees, but it’s a pretty big deal. Because it’s about television.

Samsung’s Evolution Kit will upgrade your old TV and make it new again. And it’s available now at Appliances Online.

Able to work in cahoots with select compatible Samsung Smart 2012 models, the kit comes in the form of a slim little box you install in your TV (via a nifty slot at the back) … from there it will deliver all the features, functions and random upgrades that Samsung have pushed out there since you made your original purchase.

It represents a great way to get the latest developments in TV technology, without forking out for a brand new TV.

That makes it a rather exciting new product … albeit in an admittedly very dull shape. Evolution Kit

For the record, this Evolution kit will work with the following TVs from 2012:

Samsung Smart TV LEDS ES8000, ES7500 … or Plasma E8000 (the latter two are no longer available at Appliances Online).

So what can you expect from the Evolution Kit?

Control functionality will be a particular feature. Once you’ve plugged the Evolution Kit in, you’ll get access to the fresh and shiny new 2013 Smart Hub interface, with updated bits of awesomeness such as new voice commands (including S Recommendation with Voice Interaction) and new gestures for Motion Control.

You’ll also get a power boost in the shape of a built-in Quad Core processor, making things like using apps and web browsing that much easier.

Obviously, how important Smart functionality is to your home entertainment will determine whether the upgrade is justified for you.

However for those who want to experience the latest and greatest Samsung has to offer, this device offers a great way to stay at the vanguard of the Smart technology revolution … without having to fork out for a brand new television.
