Lick this: pizza in a cone

It would take a remarkable appliance for us to take readers away from the awesome range of goods at AppliancesOnline.com.au but we couldn’t go past this kitchen gadget: a pizza cone. As in, pizza, in a cone.

So we direct you to Amazon where the new Pizzacraft Grilled Pizza Cones have been recently released. Unfortunately, the online retailer has already run out of stock. We can only speculate an American nationwide rush to own the heart attack in a cone.

If you like the idea of licking up greasy molten cheese off the sides of a dough cone then this small appliance is for you. And if you’re not a fan of the Italian slice we think that the Pizza Cone may also double down under as a kebab maker.

The cooking set includes a dough cutter, triangle shaped cutter, two non-stick cone moulds and standing spirals. Basically, it looks like you roll out the dough, cut it into a triangle shape, fit it into the cone moulds and fill with your favourite ingredients. Then pop it in the spiral and into the oven it goes.

Eating the pizza cone could be an adventurous endeavour: messy, fun and unique. An instruction booklet includes a few recipes but we’re not sure if it includes eating suggestions.

If scoffing cones at the table goes against your household’s manners, AppliancesOnline sells a broad range of more conventional pie and pizza makers.

Having once had to sit on the washing machine to stop it from bouncing into oblivion, Keri is today delighted with the new (smoother running) technologies that make housework easier every day. A self-confessed lazy-bones, Keri seeks out quirky inventions that ease the human workload, such as the robotic vacuum cleaner (wow). And as soon as someone figures out a Jetsons-like self-cleaning house, she will happily lay her pen to rest and retire from appliance journalism. Until then, her pick is a fridge that will tell her smartphone when it's time to pick up more beer on the way home. Magic.
