July 10th, 2012
Screen star and working mum Georgie Parker will be pushing vacuums in pictures for LG as the company’s new brand ambassador across the home appliance category in Australia.
Parker, who has played Ruth ‘Roo’ Stewart on Home and Away since 2010, has been picked by LG for her promotion of style and family values.
The 47-year-old is also a representative of the National Scoliosis Foundation and the Steve Waugh Foundation.
“I’m looking forward to working with LG Electronics to help showcase how innovative and beneficial LG’s Home Appliances are for Australian families,” Parker said.
“As a working mum, I know how important it is to have resilient and smart appliances and I want a product that looks great too – this is the beauty of the LG range, as they combine attractive and striking finishes with clever technology.”
Parker will promote the new LG home appliance advertising campaign which first aired on TV last Friday. Showcased products will include LG’s 6 motion washing machines, steam dishwashers, vacuums and fridges.
Fiona Irving, corporate marketing manager, LG Electronics Australia said Parker suited the role for LG well.
“Georgie Parker is a really positive fit for our Home Appliances category. We wanted an Australian icon that is genuine and encapsulates the values of our brand. Georgie has touched the hearts of many Australian households and is the perfect representation for our new range,” Irving said.
“Georgie’s modern and stylish persona fits with the appeal of LG’s Home Appliances, as we see our range as high quality and premium. We’re looking forward to working with her.”
