With the invention of the White Cloud washer by Joe Barlow and John Seelig in Ripon, Wisconsin, the Speed Queen legacy has stood for durability, dependability and convenience.  Even though energy rating is not high the
washing time is considerably shorter than my old (6 years
old) Hoover washer. Machine appears to do a better wash.
All in all very happy with the appliance.

 Washing big loads beautifully. Have noticed the spin cycle leaves the clothes a little less dry though. I expect many years of faithful service from this machine just like my old one delivered for 15 years.

We have been using this unit for six months now and it has been awesome even though I hate doing the washing, it's much better than the old machine, you can really see the difference in quality of operation. Our old machine, a G.E. lasted 16 years but never did it perform as well as the speed queen.

The Speed Queen replaced our twenty year old one of the same make, which had not required attention until it was on its deathbed. We are hoping for the same good run for the new one, which is excellent. The spin dry cycle does an admirable job, with all of the water removed, and there is no trace of lint. It is a solid machine (no plastic bits), and no fussy electronics, just good old-fashoned knobs.

I love it and definitely feel it was worth spending more than the cost of an average washing machine. This is not an average machine. I consider it to be superior. My four washing machine 'desirables' are all present.
1. The washes come out clean.
2.The washing cycles are fast.
3.There is no lint left on the clothes
4. The clothes are not tangled.

I have actually just replaced my washing machine with the same model that I purchased back in 2000. Hopefully the updated model gives the same service. It is a heavy duty machine - my washing machine runs an average of 35 loads per week.

I AM IN LOVE WITH MY NEW WASHING MACHINE! It is fantastic and washes the clothes beatifully! I will never buy another brand of washing machine again. It my appear basic to the eye, but it washes like no other washing machine has washed before, and if there are less gadgets, then less things can go wrong. The spin cycle is a little loud, but what do you expect from an industrial grade washing machine. 100% Happy!

We haven't received an electricity bill yet but we love the dryer. I will actually be surprised if it's running costs are very much more expensive because we don't use it any more than the old 6.5kg electronic one we had - in fact, where 90mins in the old dryer would dry a load of towels for instance, this new Speed Queen only takes 60mins at most. It has simple cycles, doesn't play music when it's turned on, has a really effective lint collector that's so easy to clean it's silly and, it's gentle on the clothes. The only problem was the extra cost to have it's own power circuit wired in by an electrician. We haven't had it vented either but that would be an extra cost as well if we decide to. We are very happy with it and it's doing exactly what we bought it for - nothing more and nothing less.

A This machine has an automatic, self cleaning lint filter and does not leave lint on the clothing. The regular wash takes around 32-35 minutes.

A Speed Queen is a company that is completely separate of Whirlpool. Speed Queen produce semi-commercial machines that are manufactured in America. They are often used in commercial laundrys, hotels, motels, clubs and restaurants. This model is made like a tank, all metal/steel construction.

A The standard drain and inlet are normally 1500mm long. You can buy extension inlet and outlet hoses direct from the manufacturer only.
