Product Question - Omega Convection Microwave OM250CXA

I have been told I cant put a convection microwave in the shelf (specially built for microwave)in my kitchen, that it needs to have a large amount of space around three sides and one side should be completely open, can you tell me if this is correct ?

A This model is top vented: so you cannot put anything on top of it. However, it just needs 3-5cm ventilation gap on the sides, back, and top. You can put it in your shelf as long as there will be this much ventilation space.
