Could you clarify what underbench style, no lid and stainless steel sides but no top means. Is this style suitable to be placed in an existing space for a dishwasher in a kitchen bench?

A An under bench dishwasher is specificaly designed to be installed flush under a bench top. Hence it does not come with a top or matching sides to allow it to easily slide into the cavity.
