Advanced filter system
The filters in this Bosch dishwasher are easy to remove and clean, and offer 50% more surface area. This allows for up to 15% more water to be circulated through the system, providing even more cleaning power from every drop of water.
DosageAssist detergent system
The DosageAssist function is designed to maximise the effectiveness of detergent tablets. At the beginning of the wash cycle the detergent tablet drops into the specially designed tray, where it dissolves evenly instead of lodging between crockery or not dissolving completely.
Heat Exchanger
This function utilises the existing heat from the main wash cycle to preheat the incoming rinse water. This saves energy and minimises temperature shocks to your dishes. It also facilitates faster and more hygienic drying.
AutoBrilliance automatic detergent sensor
The AutoBrilliance function will automatically adapt program temperatures and water levels to ensure the detergent tablet is used as effectively as possible. The result is sparkling clean dishes every time.
Large item spray head
Also referred to as the 'Hedgehog', this detachable head is specifically designed to wash very large items such as platters. Simply remove the top basket from the dishwasher, clip the 'Hedgehog' onto the top basket water supply, and load your platters into the lower basket. It is also great for cleaning rangehood filters and refrigerator shelves.

All our products come with full manufacturer's warranty. Note that you'll need the tax
invoice from your purchase to make a claim. If you lose your original tax invoice,
please let us know, and we'll re-issue it. Note that most small appliances have no "in-house service".
If your appliance requires servicing you will be required to take it to your nearest approved service agent.
These agents can be located by contacting your manufacturer directly.
Commercial warranty
If you're buying something that will be used in a commercial environment, the manufacturer's
warranty covers a maximum of the first 3 months only. Note that all Electrolux, Westinghouse and
Dishlex dishwashers come with no commercial warranty.
Extended warranty and business warranty
Appliances Online offers an extended warranty that covers parts and labour required
for repair of goods that suffer mechanical or electrical failure within Australia,
for a period of up to 3 years outside the term of the standard manufacturer's warranty.

Return policy
If your goods are deemed faulty following confirmation by the manufacturer you may replace them free of charge by calling 1300 000 500.
If you notice any damage to your goods please notify our delivery team at the time of delivery. We recommend you thoroughly inspect your goods at this time. If you notice any damage to your goods within 24 hours of receiving delivery please notify Appliances Online immediately. Evidence of damage will be required i.e. photographs.
If for any other reason you need to return an item please call the Appliances Online customer help line on 1300 000 500 within 5 business days of receiving delivery.
If your goods remain boxed and unopen you may return them within 30 days for a full refund. A collection fee of $50 or the amount of your delivery fee if it was greater than $50 will apply.
If your goods have been unboxed but otherwise are as new (have not been used or connected) a 20% restocking fee (20% of your purchase price) will apply. Appliances Online does not deal with factory seconds, damaged or open goods and charges restocking fees to cover return costs. A collection fee of $50 or the amount of your delivery fee if it was greater than $50 will apply.
Please note, if you have requested connection of your goods Appliances Online will unbox the product for you at the time of delivery. Also, we recommend you inspect your new goods thoroughly at the time of delivery.
We will organise for your return goods to be collected. Goods are usually collected within 3 days.
You as the customer have a duty of care for the product whilst it is in your possession. If products are damaged by you and subsequently returned, a charge will be made to repair the product to its original condition. Please be aware that where repair is not economically viable no refund will be made.
All refunds will be issued when goods have arrived back to an Appliances Online warehouse and have been inspected by a member of our team. Refunds will be made by the same method used for the purchase.
We are unable to accept return of any goods that you have attempted to install or have used.

Washes great and is really quiet. Very happy with it. Minor issues or irritations are that the detergent holder is not that easy to fill due to the angle it sits on the open door. Also the detergent lid closure mechanism seems a little flimsy and sometimes clogs with powder that you've spilled when trying to fill the holder!! The holes in the cutlery basket are
just a bit tight for my knives and forks which makes
emptying the basket a bit annoying as they get stuck when you pull them out, making a quick getaway a thing of the past. Otherwise the washer is great, quiet and dishes come out clean. Irritations are small and nothing major to really worry about. Gary

Q Could you clarify what underbench style, no lid and stainless steel sides but no top means. Is this style suitable to be placed in an existing space for a dishwasher in a kitchen bench?

A An under bench dishwasher is specificaly designed to be installed flush under a bench top. Hence it does not come with a top or matching sides to allow it to easily slide into the cavity.
Q As the Bosch SMU50E15AUSS is an under bench unit supplied without stainless steel sides and a worktop. Is a stainless steel kick plate included?

A If a machine is not looked after properly, and filters are not checked regularly, there could be something that causes the machine to smell. I'll admit that my old dishwasher at home would smell every now and again, but once we started to clean the filter and use the 'Finish' brand dishwasher cleaner liquid it would smell fresh again. I would suggest running these type of cleaning washes once a month to insure optimum performance, as well as no smell. It all comes down to good maintenance. The better you look after a machine, the longer it will last.
